Re: Multi-Union Safety Agreement

As of this evening our negotiating team came to resolution with the DGA, IATSE, and the Teamsters (817 and 399) on a contract looking for standardization in protocols and testing.

In the coming days we will be giving a full explanation of the overall agreement at the weekly Town Hall and with documentation, however there are a few points that we felt members would need to know ASAP for budgeting purposes.

• The term of the deal commences December 15^th and will run through April unless terminated earlier or extended by the parties.
• Everyone in employment will need to be tested prior to employment, however, unlike the deal that the unions made with the studios two months ago, there are several carve outs pertaining to the unique operations of commercials, such as for tests carrying over from previous employment. However, there are really too many details to give in a general overview such as this.
• The important thing to know for budgeting is: if an employee is tested for employment on your production at a time that they aren’t working, there will be a $175 stipend due (no fringes other than payroll taxes apply). It would be prudent to budget for all.
• The test will have to be done within a three-day window of the start of employment and must be a lab-based PCR test or two PCR rapid tests done at the same time. All employees must have a negative result prior to the start of employment.
• Until December 15^th, no testing is required, however, if you do require an employee to be tested and they are not employed at the time of testing (on the clock), a minimum of $100 will be due as the stipend prior to December 15^th.
